While the claim that titanic improvements to flash drives are just “years away” sounds great … I’m still waiting for my holographic disks.

BBC News – Hewlett Packard outlines computer memory of the future

“In theory we can connect thousands of layers in a very straightforward fashion,” said Dr Williams.

“It could provide a way of getting a ridiculous amount of memory on a chip.”
